Our Process

First, it must be found...

Every item here at Nosilla Vintage is handpicked and selected by me (Allison). I travel North Carolina and other parts of the US in search of vintage items that can be effortlessly incorporated into your modern wardrobe. I source a wide variety of vintage clothing and accessories from decades past, as well as a variety of new vintage inspired pieces. All items are sourced with a focus on classic appeal and modern relevancy that are sure to bring a smile to your face.

Once it is found, it is inspected, cleaned and mended...

I take great pride in providing high quality vintage clothing and accessories for my customers. Vintage items are often in desperate need of care and attention. I strive to bring items back up to wearable condition, so they can be passed on and enjoyed for years to come. All items that pass through the studio are inspected for flaws and mended. In some cases items are sold “as-is” if the garment cannot be brought up to flawless condition. In addition to repair items are laundered according to that specific garments needs. In many cases the garments are hand washed to ensure their integrity. Once the piece has been mended and cleaned, a final inspection is done. Then, each item is pressed or steamed and stored until it is ready to be sold.

Then we must take measurements and create a description for each item...

Vintage clothing fits differently than modern clothing, which is cut loosely to fit a wide variety of body shapes. Vintage clothing pre-dating 1980 are cut much closer to the body than you may be used to. For this reason, it is important that you allow enough wearing ease to move comfortably while wearing your vintage garment. Vintage garments should always be worn with care and consideration of their age. We provide actual measurements of each garment to ensure the best fit possible for you. Many vintage garments depending on their age will have sizing tags that are very different from today’s sizing standards. What was once a size 10 or 12 in the 1950s is equivalent to a modern size 0 or 2.  Please check our SIZING INFO here for more specifics. After measurements are taken, a description is written so you can get a good idea of what the garment will be like in person. Often included is the era of the garment, fabric makeup, unique detailing, closure type, washing instructions and measurements.

Once an item is purchased...

After a purchase is made we do a final inspection on the item to make sure we didn't miss any flaws in the garment. Once it is inspected we use 100% recycled packaging to ship your item to you. Items usually ship out within a day of your purchase. Due to the nature of our items, all sales are final. Your package will usually arrive within 2-3 days if shipped priority mail within the united states. International shipping can take up to four weeks. For additional shipping detail please visit our SHIPPING INFO page. Once the item arrives safely to your doorstep, remove from packaging and enjoy!
